This is two catalogues for the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts Summer School at Chester Springs for 1925. Included are photos of the buildings in the village as well as photos of students' work with their names from work exhibited in the 8th Exhibition of work done at Chester Springs. Fifty-eight students were represented. The faculty is listed with brief bios of each. A summary of life at the school and scholarship information is given. Also included are several photocopied pages from the 1925-1926 catalogue giving rules for life at the school and railroad schedules to get to the school. One catalogue exhibits water damage. The catalogue given by Clyde Scheib is in excellent condition. He told us that Chester Springs resident Goldie Currie gave the booklet to him. She is since deceased. |
