This letter is from General George Washington from the Reading Furnace during the Revolutionary War dated September 19, 1777, where he asks General Anthony Wayne to begin moving forward as he has also asked Generals Maxwell and Potter to do the same. He will follow with extra men. All horses are on patrol. He is awaiting ammunition. He will await word from the generals so he can plan his own moves. He suggests cutting off the enemy's baggage. |
