Her mother was Sarah Blakeslee Speight and a student at the Country School in the early 1930's. Her husband taught at the Country School and at the Academy. Elisabeth is an art restorer in Philadelphia.

Sarah was a student at the academy in the early 1930s and Francis taught at the Country School and the Academy in Philadelphia. When he was an instructor in Chester Springs is where he met Sarah. Elisabeth, their daughter, is the one who donated this photograph to Historic Yellow Springs.
