    This is a bio of PA Governor Samuel Whitaker Pennypacker. The Pennypacker family was a prominent Chester Springs family. The Great Wreck of 1877 train was carrying family members back to Chester Springs from a family reunion at Pennypacker Mills in Schwenksville, PA. This wouid become the Governor's home.
