RG6.B81.F2 - Print, Photographic
These are four photographs of horses at Chester Springs. Margaret Walker managed horses in the area and presented them to the Moore Archives. One shows Col. Clifton Lisle, who wrote a history of West Pikeland Township, with his horse. The large print Ms. Walker states is the last living descendant of Man of War, at the time, named Free America. Chester Springs is known as horse country and the Pickering Hunt was very important in its day.
