This is a colored photographic reproduction of Capt. Holman of the Chester County Troop, PA. It is believed the Chester Co. Militia was only called out once to quell riots in Philadelphia. Capt. Samuel Holman was a son of Frederick and Margaret Holman who owned and managed the spa at Yellow Springs. The donor, Robert Holman is a descendant of another son Isaac.
