Description |
The sweetgrass braid and bundle of sage are traditional Lenape Indian items and were presented to Executive Director Rob Lukens at a Native American Blessing Ceremony at Historic Yellow Springs on May 21, 2006. Native American David Bonham presented the gift. Bonham also found a small iron nail in the oak tree in the courtyard and gave it to Lukens stating that it symbolized white man's intrusion in nature. |
