Holman whereby Olwine, a daughter of Colonel James Bones is seeking ownership of land that Holman declared belonged to him. This land, where the Yellow Springs Spa was located, had changed hands many times some of which was never recorded. The court favored the defendants.

    In this letter from George Hartman to Abraham Olwine, Mr. Hartman discusses the Yellow Springs spa property and its conveyance from Col. James Bones to Mr. Olwine. It appears that Col. Bones had sold and disposed of some of the lots but the deeds may not have been recorded. Mr. Hartman thinks it is a "labour in vain" to search for these records, but will do so if Olwine so desires.
